Walking in a cemetery with shoes on

Question:

What is the ruling of walking in a cemetery with one’s shoes, or to lie on a bedstead in a cemetery or to tie horses in a cemetery?

Answer:

It is prohibited to walk on the graves as this is an insult to the deceased Muslims. Yes, however, it is permissible to walk on the old pathway that runs through the cemetery, even with shoes on. It is prohibited to tie a horse on the graves, to lie a bedstead on it, and to sleep or sit on the grave.
