Using building materials from a graveyard for a Masjid

Question:

Is it permissible to take wood or bricks/stones etc. from a graveyard and use it in a Masjid or alternatively, sell the wood, brick/stones etc. belonging to the graveyard and use the income in a Masjid?

Answer:

The trees and its wood belong to the one who planted it and likewise the bricks belong to those who erected the graveyard. They can do as they please. However, if no one knows who the owner of these items is or the plants were grown naturally, then it is permissible to use such items in the Masjid.

And Allah ﷻ knows the best
