To neglect offering Salah on time

Question:

Would an individual who purposely behaves lazy and allows time of prayer to elapse, then performs prayer outside of the prayer time, be sanctioned to hell?

Answer:

Without an acceptable reason in accordance to Shariah law, the act of allowing the time of prayer to pass by due to laziness, and being forced to read qadah is regarded as haram (unlawful), fisq (corruption) and is a major sin.

Nothing is more important than Salah; it is the key to Jannah. In the adhan, the muadhin recites “come to success, come to success”. On hearing these words, the companions of the Prophet ﷺ would instantly stop what they were doing and head towards the mosque. We must ask ourselves, on our list of priorities where do we place performance of Salah.

And Allah ﷻ knows the best
