Superstitious practices and beliefs regarding a stillborn child

Question:

It has been a tradition that if a child was stillborn, the bereaved would place the deceased child into a clay pot. The deceased child would thereafter be buried outside the graveyard. Unfortunately, people believe that the stillborn child becomes a ghost and thus emulate the Hindus. Why is this so?

Answer:

It is an evil and abhorrent thought. They should bury the stillborn child in a Muslim graveyard.

And Allah ﷻ knows the best
