Question:

A person has already performed funeral prayer of a deceased person. Is it allowed for such a person to repeat the funeral prayer of the same deceased person if the guardian was to offer his funeral prayer?

Answer:

It is written in Durr al-Mukhtar that ‘a person who has offered funeral prayer is not allowed to offer the funeral prayer of the same deceased person again, even with the guardian. Such a repetition is disallowed.’
