Question:

What do the pious and expert scholars of Islam say: Is it allowed to cook food in the house of the deceased?

Answer:

Yes, they can cook in the household. According to Shari’a, this is permissible but due to sadness they do not cook. It is Sunna to send food to their house on the first day.
