What do the expert scholars of Shari’ah say regarding a man giving salam to a group of women?
It is permissible for a man to give greetings to a group of women. Likewise, it is permissible for a group of men to give greetings to a woman when in both cases there is no fear of corruption. The permissibility of a man giving salam to a group of women is found in the hadith narrated by Sayyidah Asma bint Yazid:
“The Prophet passed by us, a group of women, and He ﷺ greeted us with the greeting of peace.” (Sunan Abi Dawud)
Imam Nawawi has mentioned if there is a group of women and a man greets them with salam, this is permissible. (Rawdat Al-Talibin)
And Allah knows best.
